Some “custom” features
are a lot more work than you might think. The little hole in the
side of this guitar represents more than a month of work: not so
much making the hole, of course, but rather figuring out where, how
big, and what else to do to make up for it. |

The guitar in the background of
this picture was the “homework” needed to figure that
out.
Otherwise,
the “ported” guitar is more or less a normal “standard” classical
size guitar. It has Indian rosewood sides and back, a European spruce
top, morado binding and bridge, and an ebony fingerboard. The scale
length is 640mm and it has a cutaway. The bridge was provided with
a shim to allow for quick changes between “normal” action
and the “low” required for Flamenco playing. |
